We Can Help With: anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, addictions, burnout, life reorientation, and grief and loss

Is this for you?

You don't need to be in crisis to talk to a counselor.

Sometimes, what you’re carrying is hard to express—even to people close to you. Counselling gives you a safe space to talk, be heard, understand your emotions, and manage them with therapeutic support.

You feel stuck, low or unsure about which way to go

Workplace is affecting your sleep, health or peace at home

Arguments, distance or trust issues in a relationship

Your teenager seems withdrawn, anxious or under pressure

You're facing conflict, burnout or a hard change at work

You or someone close is struggling with substance use

Taking the first step can feel difficult. A short conversation is all it takes to begin.

Meet Sumitha S

Practical insight, grounded in empathetic care.

I’m Sumitha S, a counselor specializing in mental health and workplace well-being. Over 19 years, I have worked across hospitals and psychiatric settings, rehabilitation centers, industries and corporate workplaces, supporting people through emotional, personal and workplace concerns.

My experience in Employee Relations – HR, where counselling was an integral part of my role, gives me an in-depth understanding of workplace challenges and how they can affect an individual’s well-being, relationships and personal life.

This breadth of experience helps me look beyond the immediate concern—to understand you, your circumstances and the experiences shaping you.

Questions

Common questions before starting.

Can't find your answer? Send a quick WhatsApp message.

Is everything I share kept confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is at the heart of every session. What you share stays between you and your counselor, within professional and legal limits such as a risk to your safety or someone else's.

How are sessions conducted?

Sessions are held online, so you can join from home or any private space where you feel comfortable. Each session is 50 minutes.

Why does the first package include two sessions?

One conversation is rarely enough to understand the full picture. Two assessment sessions let us understand your concern properly and agree on a plan that suits you.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you're working on. A short-term plan is usually recommended, with one session a week, reviewed as you make progress.

What happens when counselling ends?

We close with a review of how far you've come and a plan for handling setbacks on your own. You're always welcome to return for a check-in later.

Can I book sessions for my teenager?

Yes. Adolescent counselling covers academic pressure, identity, social challenges and emotional concerns. Where helpful, parents may be included in a discussion during the assessment.

Is this a replacement for psychiatric or emergency care?

No. Counseling Pod offers counselling and emotional support within the practitioner's qualifications. It does not replace emergency medical care or psychiatric treatment. If other care is needed, you'll be guided towards it.
